About the Florida Association of EMS Medical Directors
The Florida Association of EMS Medical Directors (FAEMSMD) is a membership organization dedicated to advancing the practice of EMS medical direction in Florida. We exist to promote collaboration among Florida’s EMS agencies, establish guidelines for the medical direction of pre-hospital care, and advise the state on matters concerning pre-hospital medical care in Florida.

Leadership
The FAEMSMD Executive Committee is comprised of three elected officers, two members at large, the State Medical Director and the State EMSC Medical Director. Officers serve 2-year terms.
Membership
FAEMSMD membership is available to all licensed physicians in the State of Florida, as defined under Chapter 458 of the Florida codes, who are involved in pre-hospital care. There are three levels of membership available.
What FAEMSMD members do:
Help shape and establish guidelines for pre-hospital medical care and direction in Florida
Advocate for the best EMS policies and regulations
Network and grow partnerships with other medical directors
Promote the best continuing education and training resources for medical directors and their agency members
